Adoption Fees
$10.00 + any veterinarian bill accrued.
Dogs or cats not wearing a
tag showing a currently valid vaccination for rabies, along with the
date, name, and address of the owner, may be adopted after seventy-two
(72) hours, except those under quarantine.

Euthanization Procedures
Any impounded animal not
reclaimed by the owner may be euthanized after being impounded for
seventy-two (72) hours. If, however, that animal is wearing a current
vaccination tag with the date of vaccination and the name of the
owner, the animal shall be impounded for at least six (6) days before
being euthanized.
Any nursing baby animal
impounded without the mother may be immediately euthanized to prevent
further suffering.

Sweeny Animal Impound is open Monday through Friday between 8am -5pm.
