The City of Sweeny is represented by City Attorney Charlie Stevenson.  Mr. Stevenson provides legal advice and counsel to the city council, various boards and commissions, city departments, and the municipal court.  Mr. Stevenson represents the city in litigation, drafts various legal instruments, and answers legal claims filed against the city.  Mr. Stevenson represents the City of Sweeny during municipal court trials.

Mr. Stevenson also operates a private law practice in the City of Sweeny.
